In addition to providing a poor user experience for the patient, these methods suffer from a key source of error: the results are technique-sensitive and can lead to inaccuracies in the resulting prosthetics. Based on a novel and incredibly compact 3D capture technique called Multiscan Imaging, the DWIO system allows the dentist to take digital impressions in a natural, fluid manner. Its remarkably small handpiece, gesture control, and easy maintenance make it a compelling digital impression option for clinicians.
Based on its innovative Multiscan Imaging™ technology, the DWIO system has the unique capability of capturing 3D data from multiple sides of the teeth or implant scan-bodies simultaneously, reducing the effort needed to capture difficult areas like interproximal surfaces and deep preparations.
