How does Long-pulse Nd:YAG 1064 Work?
The Long-pulse Nd:YAG 1064 emits infrared light into the target area. This light energy is then absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin (predominant protein in red blood cells) with relatively low absorption by the melanin pigment. Once absorbed, the temperature within the abnormal blood vessel increases causing it to shrink. Because the Long-pulse Nd:YAG 1064 emits highly controlled laser pulse, the untreated skin surface is left undamaged. In addition, the handpiece features a unique open-angle view with an aiming beam, which allows practitioners to easily visualize the target blood vessels underneath the skin. Once destroyed, the damaged blood vessel is naturally eliminated by the cells of the immune system, leaving the treated area smoother, radiant, and aesthetically pleasing.
